Senior Infrastructure Engineer (m/w/d)

Our Infrastructure Solutions team is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer for the German-speaking part of Switzerland. 

In the Infrastructure Solutions department, we support our customers in selecting, architecting and operating the various software that will enable them to master the hosting part of their services and applications, on-premise or in the cloud.

Our engineers, experienced and accustomed to the constraints of production, know how to build and above all maintain these architectures. We are convinced that quality BUILD can only be achieved through RUN experience.

Your day as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer

As  Senior Infrastructure Engineer in the Infrastructure Solutions department, you'll have plenty of scope to get involved in projects, particularly in the German-speaking part of Switzerland. We're not only looking for someone with solid experience in the infrastructure field, but also someone motivated to participate in various aspects of research and project management. Your main tasks will be as follows: 

• You take part in qualifying new opportunities and drawing up responses to calls for tender.
• You take charge of projects from the pre-sales phase through to production start-up. 
• You take part in the analysis of functional requirements and in the conception (design, architecture, choice of solutions) but also in the breakdown of work and its successful completion.
• You play a senior role in projects, helping to plan and lead the project team.
• You anticipate risks and propose solutions to obstacles encountered. You are proactive and a source of ideas for our customers.
• You communicate on project progress (quality/costs/deadlines) and ensure reporting.

Your profile

Your essential skills to succeed in this role

• You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Informatics or equivalent.
• You have at least 5 years' experience in a similar position as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, or a keen interest in moving in this direction.
• You have a good knowledge of cloud technologies, in particular Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• You are familiar with the main container management and administration tools, in particular Kubernetes and Docker, as well as GitOps best practices.
• You have experience with automation tools, whether creating platforms in "Infrastructure as Code" mode or automating continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes.
• You have proven experience with observability tools. Whether you're collecting metrics with Prometheus or aggregating logs with Loki or the ELK suite.
• You have strong written and oral communication skills and are able to federate, lead and structure management discussions.
• You are a native German speaker and have a good level of English.
• You have a valid work permit for Switzerland.

The icing on the cake

If you also recognize yourself in the following, it will be a big plus:

• You have Amazon AWS or Kubernetes certification.
• You speak French.

Location: Olten or Zurich, with the possibility of 50% home office.

Start date: Immediately or by arrangement.

Workload: We are flexible and you can choose between 80% and 100%.
