As active members in the Open Source communities that we invest in, our Camptocamp developer teams are fortunate to work in collaboration with passionate and talented fellow developers across the globe - virtually. However, this April 25-27, 2023, we have the opportunity to bring that collaboration into the real world by hosting the upcoming “Open Standards and Open Source Software” code sprint at our offices in Bussigny, Switzerland.

At the heart of the code sprint is the goal of fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing among developers. We’ll gather in an inclusive spirit that encourages attendees to share their expertise and insights, and to work together towards common objectives. Sessions will include presentations, discussions, and hands-on coding sessions, and plenty of time for breaks and socializing.

Participants will have the opportunity to collaborate on a wide range of projects, including pygeoapi, pycsw, GeoNetwork, ZOO-Project, GeoStyler, Geoserver, OpenLayers, Maplibre, Apache SIS, Baremaps, Apache Superset, and many more.

If you are a developer who is passionate about geospatial open standards and open source software, we would love to have you join us at the code sprint. Whether you are a seasoned developer or just starting out, there will be plenty of opportunities to learn, collaborate, and contribute.

The code sprint will be a hybrid event, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to contribute and collaborate.

To register for the code sprint, please visit the OGC website. We look forward to seeing you in Lausanne in April!
