Camptocamp announced the release of MapFish-1.1

MapFish, an Open Source framework, was created by Camptocamp and improved through the continual inputs of the community of developers, especially in the area of graphical user interface. 

MapFish runs a JavaScript Web 2.0 library so as to offer users a clear and ergonomic interface. Besides, MapFish can be deployed on Php, Java, Ruby or Python web servers, widening the compatibility of the development environments of users.

MapFish-1.1 can be downloaded here: http://www.mapfish.org/downloads/

This release incorporates numerous developments, including:

Server-side components:

  • Plugin for Rails
  • Printing of vector layers

Client-side components:

  • Recenter widget
  • Layer tree context menus
  • Feature store
  • Google Earth/MapFish integration example
  • Print action (print button in a toolbar)

This release is also the occasion for Camptocamp to thank all contributors and users!
