Creation of the OpenStreetMap France association
On October 08, the OpenStreetMap France Association was created!
The goals of the association are:
- to promote the OpenStreetMap project through the collection, the distribution and the use of Open Source map data,
- to ease and strengthen contacts and collaborations with public and private entities worldwide,
- to inform and train the general public, the project participants and all professionals or non-professionals interested in the integration of OpenSource cartography in their projects,
- to become the official relay of the OpenStreetMap Foundation
Note : The participation to the OpenStreetMap project does not require the membership to OpenStreetMap France. Nonetheless, we encourage interested contributors to join the association.
As a founding member of the association, Camptocamp is very proud about this creation!
