A team of Camptocamp’s Geospatial Business Solutions division will attend the FOSS4G North America conference which be held from April 10 to 12, 2012 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington DC, USA.

” Développé pour la chambre de commerce et d’industrie de Paris Hauts-de-Seine, Villacité est un service proposé en mode « cloud » pour répertorier et analyser l’offre commerciale locale. L’application purement Web a été réalisée par Camptocamp et permet de découvrir les commerces, caractérisés par 65 attributs. Des requêtes et représentations cartographiques sont également disponibles pour effectuer toutes sortes d’analyses. Villacité a déjà été retenu par Courbevoie et Boulogne-Billancourt. La CCIP vend également l’application à d’autres chambres de commerces, qui peuvent ainsi la mettre à disposition de leurs collectivités. L’abonnement coûte 4 000 euros par an, mais ne comprend pas la création de la base des commerces, qui peut nécessiter une enquête sur le terrain pour recueillir toutes les informations. En région parisienne, un recensement simple est proposé au tarif de 7 euros par commerce, un recensement complet (65 critères par commerce) coûtera 15 euros. www.villacite.fr “

La solution logicielle VILLACITE (villacite.fr) permet aux professionnels du commerce de répondre en temps réel à la demande d’un commerçant ou d’un investisseur à la recherche d’un local commercial, de comprendre les spécificités et les enjeux en matière d’équipement commercial et de promouvoir les pôles commerciaux stratégiques, garantissant ainsi une meilleure attractivité de la ville.
VILLACITE se compose de deux applications. La première est une interface internet sécurisée destinée aux professionnels du commerce local (CCI, collectivités…). La seconde est un annuaire cartographique des commerçants qui peut être intégré sur le site Web de l’utilisateur ; il permettra à l’ensemble des usagers de la ville d’identifier la présence, la localisation et l’activité d’un commerce.
Développée par la division Geospatial Solutions de Camptocamp et à l’aide du framework de développement MapFish, VILLACITE illustre les capacités de la solution à proposer à nos clients des services Web cartographiques performants, assurant leurs besoins de consultation, d’interrogation et de modification de données spatiales au sein d’interfaces ergonomiques et personnalisées.

EUROGI, l’organisation chargée de chapeauter l’information géographique en Europe, a primé deux applications d’Infrastructure de Données Spatiales développées par Camptocamp !
L’application GeoBretagne a gagné le prix dans la la catégorie “Trajectories” et le geoportail de la Confédération Suisse dans la catégorie “Technology”.
Camptocamp est très fière d’avoir participé activement au développement de ces deux applications, confirmant le haut niveau technologique déployé par ses équipes et les choix technologiques open source qui ont été faits. Camptocamp félicite Geobretagne et Swisstopo qui ont su faire vivre leur infrastructure depuis leur mise en place, gage de réussite pour de telles infrastructures.

EUROGI, the network for the promotion of cross border dialogue and exchange of best practices on Spatial Data Infrastructure in Europe, awarded two SDI applications developed by Camptocamp!
The application GeoBretagne won the price in the category “Trajectories” and the the geoportal of the Swiss Confederation (Switzerland) in the category “Technology”.
Camptocamp is very proud to have actively participated to the development of these two applications, confirming the high technological level of its teams and the Open Source technologies used.

GeoBretagne is an IDS implemented by the state and by the Bretagne region. It is based on the Open Source project geOrchestra.
About Geo-admin.ch, the geoportal of the Swiss Confederation
The federal geodata portal is a publicly accessible platform for geographical information, data and services. Geographical information consists of geographically and spatially referenced data. It describes the characteristics of a country or region in the form of coordinates and place names. The Open Source technologies used are MapFish, GeoExt and OpenLayers.

The MapFish project just finished its incubation phase and now receives the official OSGeo label!
MapFish initial discussions on how to provide an easy-to-use Web 2.0 development framework started among users at the FOSS4G 2006 in Lausanne, Switzerland. The MapFish framework, used by numerous cartography portals worldwide, allows to easily build customized Web-SIG applications. From the beginning, the community of users and developers has grown exponentially around the MapFish project. The required technical developments of the project have also led to the improvement and extension of several fundamental libraries used by the framework.
Camptocamp would like to thank the steering committee for giving MapFish the OSGeo label and the community for its commitment in the project. We extend our special thanks to Gary Sherman for being our mentor throughout the incubation process.

Le projet MapFish a terminé son incubation et obtient officiellement le label OSGeo.
Le projet MapFish a été initié lors de la conférence FOSS4G 2006 à Lausanne par plusieurs utilisateurs soucieux de bénéficier des technologies Web 2.0 en terme de cartographie interactive. Le framework MapFish permet de construire facilement des applications Web-SIG sur mesure et est actuellement utilisé par un très grand nombre de guichets cartographiques à travers le monde. Depuis ses débuts, la communauté d’utilisateurs et de développeurs n’a cessé de croître autour du projet MapFish. Les besoins technologiques de MapFish ont également permis d’améliorer et d’étendre plusieurs librairies technologiques de base utilisées par le framework.
Camptocamp tient à féliciter le comité de pilotage pour la labellisation OSGeo du projet et à remercier l’ensemble de la communauté pour son engagement dans le projet. Des remerciements particuliers vont à Gary Shermann qui a assuré le mentoring du projet lors de la phase d’incubation.
