Linux Journal, the internationally well-known monthly technology magazine, focuses specifically on Linux, allowing the content to be a highly specialized source of information for open source enthusiasts.
In its April 2011 on page 34, it dedicated an article on OpenERP.
YouMapps, la plateforme communautaire d’accès aux images SPOT, organise un BarCamp intittulé “OpenMapCamp : le point sur la cartographie communautaire pour les territoires” à la Cantine de Toulouse, le vendredi 1er avril. L’entrée est libre mais l’inscription obligatoire.
Qu’est ce qu’un BarCamp ? Un barcamp est une « non-conférence », une réunion organisée de façon libre et « itinérante » autour de multiples ateliers. Le but est d’organiser des réunions de courte durée (45minutes) sur des thèmes proposés et animés par les participants (« pas de spectateurs, tous participants »). Chacun est libre de son temps pour proposer, animer ou participer à une ou plusieurs réunions, sachant qu’à la fin de l’après midi, un échange est organisé sur les conclusions de chaque atelier.
Camptocamp sera présent lors de ce BarCamp et est heureux de pouvoir participer aux échanges lors des diverses réunions de l’après-midi afin d’apporter sa contribution aux discussions.
Camptocamp is proud to announce the first release of Studio, an admin tool for MapServer.
Studio allows the web administrator to manage the geodata, to stylize them with a wysiwyg MapFile editor and to create a custom thematisation.
Studio allows to edit MapServer Mapfiles, using an easy-to-use web-based interface. It provides graphical tools (such as sliders and color pickers) for editing styles and symbols ; it also offers a tool for automatic classification and allows saving layers as templates for reuse.
Studio is covered by the GPLv3 Open Source license and based on the following modern frameworks and libraries, including (but not limited to):

With this 0.5 release, Camptocamp would like to measure the interest of the community and partners in such a tool.

OpenLayers est un logiciel Open Source développé, testé et soutenu par un large groupe d’individus et d’organismes dans le monde entier réunis autour du projet du même nom et dont l’objectif est de développer une bibliothèque cartographique en JavaScript.
Suite au Code Sprint organisé en partenariat avec Camptocamp autour de son adaptation pour les supports mobiles, quatre nouveaux contributeurs dont trois collaborateurs de Camptocamp sont devenus OpenLayers committers : Bruno Binet, Antoine Abt et Stéphane Brunner.
Forte de ses contributions dans le monde des logiciels libres, Camptocamp regroupe maintenant 6 committers OpenLayers dont un membre du PSC, Eric Lemoine ; ceci dénote l’investissement de nos employés dans ce projet et la reconnaissance de leurs compétences.
Chez Camptocamp, nous nous sommes toujours fortement impliqués dans le développement communautaire des logiciels libres, notamment ceux hébergés par la fondation OSGeo, et nous restons attentifs au partage des développements que nous effectuons. En effet, nous sommes persuadés que ce modèle économique garde toute sa pertinence même lorsque le marché économique devient plus difficile. Le succès des logiciels co-développés par Camptocamp en est une des démonstrations et nous engage à poursuivre nos efforts avec la communauté.
